Introduction
Amsterdam is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It has a lot to offer and if you are going for a holiday, then this city should be on your list.
Amsterdam
Amsterdam is the capital of Netherlands and is also the most popular tourist destination in the country. With its population of more than 800,000 people, Amsterdam has a lot to offer. The city’s canals and bridges are famous around the world for their beauty and charm; they are also famous for their museums and art galleries!
Anne Frank’s house
Anne Frank’s house is a museum, and it’s located on the Prinsengracht 263-267 in Amsterdam. It’s open every day except Monday from 09:00 to 17:00, so you can visit whenever you want!
The museum entrance fee is €8.50 (adults) and €4.50 (children).
The Hague
The Hague is the seat of government in the Netherlands, as well as being home to many international organizations. It’s also known as “s-Gravenhage” in Dutch, which means “County Hall.”
The Hague has a population of about 250,000 people.
South Holland
South Holland is the largest of the twelve provinces of the Netherlands. It is also its most populous province with a population of 3.7 million as of 2015. The capital city of South Holland is The Hague, while its largest city is Rotterdam.
South Holland’s land area amounts to 468 km2 (179 sq mi) with 13% being water bodies; this makes it approximately two-thirds smaller than North Holland and less densely populated than Friesland but more densely populated than Gelderland.[citation needed]
North Holland
North Holland is a province of the Netherlands. It is located in the north-west of the country, on the North Sea coast. The capital city of North Holland is Amsterdam and has over 1 million inhabitants.
The area that now makes up North Holland was originally part of Holland but became a separate entity when it was conquered by William III in 1672 during his war with France.
Friesland
Friesland is a province of the Netherlands. It has many beautiful cities, towns and villages. Friesland has many beautiful beaches, forests and dunes. Friesland is also known for its cheese production which makes it one of the richest regions in Europe with regards to agriculture products like milk, butter or cheese itself.
There are many different kinds of fruit that you can find on this island! Some people even say you can taste them better when they’re fresh from your own garden instead of being bought at the store!
Zuid Holland – South Holland Province
The province of Zuid Holland is the most densely populated province of the Netherlands and it has a population of about 1.5 million people. The southern part of this province is bordered by North Holland to the north, Utrecht and Gelderland to the east, Zeeland to south and Belgium to west.
The capital city is Rotterdam which was established in 1240 A.D., making it one of Europe’s oldest cities with its origins dating back 2 centuries earlier than that. Today Rotterdam can be found at heart beating with life especially during summer months when tourists flock there for shopping or sightseeing purposes (think Amsterdam).

The takeaway is a takeaway. And I think that’s what the Dutch word “vandaag” means: today. It’s like they say, “bij mij thuis” (at home) instead of just saying it at home. I also learned that they use the word “verkopen” (to sell), which sounds kind of gross, but I guess it makes sense when you think about how people are selling goods and services in this country!
Conclusion
We can’t wait to visit one of these beautiful countries!
